At The Necessity Spa, we believe self-care should be consistent, intentional, and centered around individual needs. We take a thoughtful, individualized approach to massage therapy and skin health, recognizing that the body and skin change over time and require ongoing support—not one-time solutions.

Our services are designed to support long-term wellness, not quick fixes. Each session is informed by how your body or skin presents that day, with professional techniques and modalities selected to meet your current needs while respecting the skin barrier and the body’s natural rhythms.

We value education, consistency, and trust. Our role is to help you understand your needs, maintain progress between visits, and make informed decisions about your care—without pressure or unnecessary add-ons.

Self-care is not an indulgence. It is a necessary part of maintaining physical well-being, skin health, and overall balance.

SPA POLICIES & ETHICS

At The Necessity Spa, our policies and ethical standards are in place to protect the well-being of our guests, our team, and the integrity of the services we provide. We believe clear expectations create a better experience for everyone.

Cancellation & Late Arrival

Guests are encouraged to arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for check-in and consultation.

Late arrivals may result in a shortened service to respect scheduled appointments that follow.

Full service fees apply for appointments that cannot be completed due to late arrival.

No-Shows or Failure to Communicate

Appointments missed without notice, or failure to reschedule after being asked to do so due to illness, will result in responsibility for the full service value with no reschedule credit issued.

Single-Service Appointments

24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments result in responsibility for the full service cost.

Members will have one session deducted from their membership or package.

Appointments missed without communication are fully chargeable, and no reschedule credit will be issued.

Multiple-Service Bookings & Spa Packages

72 hours’ notice is required.

Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice are responsible for the full value of scheduled services.


Illness & Health Considerations

Guests should not attend appointments if they are feeling unwell.

Illness occurring within 24 hours of a single-service appointment, or 72 hours of multiple-service bookings or spa packages, is considered a late cancellation.

The guest remains responsible for the scheduled service; however, the appointment value will be converted into a reschedule credit.

Reschedule Credit Terms

Must be used within 30 days

Non-refundable and non-transferable

Applies to the same or equal-value service

Guests who arrive displaying symptoms of illness will be asked to reschedule. In these cases, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and converted into a reschedule credit under the terms above.

Appointments missed without notice, or failure to communicate after being asked to reschedule due to illness, result in responsibility for the full service value, with no reschedule credit issued.

Exceptions may be made at management’s discretion.

Treatment Refunds (Services)

  • All services are non-refundable.

  • Results vary based on individual factors and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Payment reflects time, professional expertise, and care, not a specific outcome.

  • We remain committed to ethical recommendations and professional standards.


Professional Skincare Product Policy

  • All retail product sales are final.

  • No cash or card refunds are issued.

Defective Product Exchanges

  • Must be reported within 10 days of purchase

  • Valid receipt required

  • Spa credit issued if a replacement is unavailable

Important Notes

  • Exchanges apply only to manufacturer defects

  • Spa credits are non-refundable and retail-only


Gift Card Terms & Conditions

  • Non-transferable and non-refundable

  • No expiration unless otherwise stated

  • May be used over multiple visits

Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

  • Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced

Necessity Spa Gift Cards

  • May be applied toward regular services and select special pricing, unless otherwise stated

Third-Party Gift Cards

  • Redeemed at regular pricing only

  • Not valid for introductory or promotional pricing

  • Promotional redemptions are capped at $50 per service, when allowed


Gift Card Booking Guidelines

  • Appointments may be booked online or by phone

  • A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments

  • Gift card intent must be noted at the time of booking

  • Gift cards are applied at checkout

Guests with questions about gift card use are encouraged to contact us prior to booking. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to provide a smooth experience for all guests.

  • Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Gratuities are appreciated but not required.

Credit Card Requirement to Reserve Appointments

A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments, including those booked with a gift card.
The card is used solely to secure the appointment and enforce cancellation and no-show policies.
No charges will be applied unless a cancellation or no-show occurs in accordance with our policies.

Redeeming Your Gift Card

At the time of booking:

Note your intent to redeem a gift card in the booking notes

Gift cards are applied at checkout, in accordance with all applicable policies

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. If such behavior occurs:

-The session will be ended immediately

-The service will be paid in full

-Additional action may be taken when necessary
